Matching · how it works

Every deal comes with a
fit score.

Creatorly scores how well each campaign or contest matches a creator — their size, their audience, their niche. Creators see the deals they can actually win; brands get applicants who actually fit the brief.

✦ Great fit 84%
Your fit right-sized for this deal

Good for both sides of the deal

One score, read two ways — so time goes to the matches that are actually worth it.

For creators

Your feed leads with deals you can win

No more scrolling past campaigns that want 50k followers when you have 2k. The deals that fit you rise to the top, and the ones that don't come with a plain-English tip on what would close the gap — grow to the follower tier, lift your engagement, add a niche.

For brands

Spend your time on the right applicants

Every creator who applies is scored against your brief and your budget, so the strongest-fit creators surface first instead of a flat, unranked list. You still choose — the Fit Meter just puts the people who match the size and topic of the deal at the top.

What it looks like

The score rides on every card — a meter, a badge and a plain percentage.

Five signals, weighted

Each deal's fit comes from five things about the creator and the brief, blended by weight.

Followers · 35 Engagement · 25 Category · 20 Region · 10 Track record · 10

Followers

Your audience size against the band the deal is built for. Full marks when you're in range; it tapers if you're well under the minimum, and only gently if you're over-qualified.

Engagement

Your engagement rate compared to what's typical for your size — not a flat bar. A tight 1,000-follower account is expected to engage far harder than a 500k one.

Category

The share of the deal's required niches you cover — an open-topic deal gives full marks. Creators pick up to three niches from the same 19 categories brands use, so in practice a niche either matches or it doesn't.

Region

Whether you're in the deal's market — which decides the currency and how you get paid.

Track record

Posts you've delivered on Creatorly. New creators start at zero here, but can still reach a great fit on the strength of the other four.

Right-sized, not just high-scoring

A plain average of five signals can mislead. A creator with great engagement, a matching niche and the right region could score well on paper for a deal that wants a far bigger account — the one thing they can't meet gets outvoted by the four they can.

So the score is reality-checked by two "size gates". A deal that needs many more followers than a creator has, or that pays for a much bigger creator than they are, is scaled down — gently if the mismatch is small, hard if it's large. The honest result: a deal a creator can't do stops passing as a good fit, while one sized for them keeps most of its score.

Open Briefneeds 5k followers · any topic · ₹8,000
56 on paper → 27 · Low
Reelany size · ₹2,000
80 on paper → 70 · Good fit

Worked through for a creator in India with 112 followers, about 15% engagement (9% is typical at that size), no delivered posts yet, and niches covering 3 of the 6 the Reel asks for. On paper the Open Brief would read as a Good fit — but it wants about 45 times this creator's audience, so the reach gate cuts the score roughly in half, to an honest Low. The Reel is open to any size and pays only a little above the ₹200–1,500 that accounts this size usually earn, so the value gate trims it by an eighth, from a Great fit on paper to a Good fit. That gap is the whole point.

What the badge means

The score lands in one of four buckets. The badge carries the honest read.

✦ Great fit 80–100

Right size, right topic, strong engagement. Apply with confidence.

Good fit 55–79

A solid match that's well worth applying to.

↗ Stretch 40–54

A reach — doable, with something to close first.

Low under 40

Wrong size or topic for now; the tip shows the gap.

Why a "Low" deal can still show 60%

On a creator's cards the meter never drops below 60%, so a small or new creator is encouraged to keep going rather than shown a demoralising single digit. Nothing else is softened: the badge still says what it means, the coaching tip still names the gap, and the feed still ranks by the true score. Brand-facing screens show the real number with no floor.

True score 27
Meter shows 60%

Floor the meter, let the badge tell the truth — the deal still ranks by its real 27, and the tip still says "grow to 5k followers".
